“Martine’s Dream was shaping from a long time ago. As far back as memory serves, back to my island home Jamaica, I was a child with the spirit of a wanderer who day dreamed in the sun. As a woman now living in Brooklyn, I am still that. And that nomadic spirit and the sun child within guides Martine’s Dream through the seasons, 365 days of the year.

As my footsteps stray far from home, my wandering gatherings of hand done textiles and tribal embroidery adds richness and layers to what I do… and from a place in the sun that is always within me, comes colorful printed cottons and unencumbered pieces.

Martine’s Dream was not created for a specific person. I focus not on trends, but what moves me. It is from a heart place and it makes me happy. So if it connects to your heart and a dreampick brings you joy, then that’s Martine’s Dream and, well, that is specific indeed :).

The places that have shaped and fueled me, from local to global, and people who inspire me in a myriad of ways are reflected in Martine’s Dream.
